Aim of the event

Global Symposium on Catholic Sacraments, Interfaith Dialogue & Contemporary Challenges ( GSCSIDCC ) organized by wrfer on 05th-06th Nov 2026 This global symposium serves as a specialized forum for theologians, liturgists, ecumenical and interfaith leaders, and pastoral practitioners to examine the theology and practice of Catholic sacraments, the dynamics of interfaith dialogue, and the Church's engagement with contemporary societal challenges. The symposium program covers sacramental theology comprehensively including the study of baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, penance and reconciliation, anointing of the sick, holy orders, and matrimony. Historical development of sacramental practice, liturgical renewal, and pastoral implementation are also addressed. In the domain of interfaith dialogue, the symposium explores the theological foundations of interreligious engagement, practical experiences of dialogue with major world religions including Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other faith traditions, and the challenges and opportunities of living in multi-religious societies. The symposium also addresses contemporary challenges facing the Church including secularism, religious indifference, ethical issues in bioethics, social justice concerns, family and marriage issues, migration and refugee crises, environmental stewardship, and the Church's response to cultural and social change. Through theological presentations, dialogue sessions, and pastoral case studies, this symposium aims to deepen understanding of Catholic sacramental life, promote respectful interfaith engagement, and develop thoughtful responses to the pressing moral and social issues of our time.
